[LUAU] Problem printing with apsfilter FreeBSD 4.9

Al,

I haven't had to tinker with a printcap file in a long time (and I was
forever tweaking it once I started...), but I am wondering if your box
thinks the psc750 is a dnj750 in one spot and finding it not to be so in
another spot. Tracking down printing troubles in Unix is not fun, I
feel for you. Anyway, I think apsfilter and ghostscript work together
to print from those Unices that use the lpr family of printing spoolers.
Maybe one of them is looking for a different printer. Perhaps something
changed your printcap file and it needs to be reread. The Apsfilter.org
site at:

http://www.apsfilter.org/docs/apsfilter-handbook-stable.html#setup_item_restart
offers the following tip for rereading the printcap file.

4.2.14 Finish setup
After your printers are installed, all parameter settings from SETUP are
saved to /usr/local/etc/apsfilter/SETUP.cfg; these will be re-read the
next time you want to install a printer.

At this point /etc/printcap has changed, so you have to tell your
spooler daemon to use the new values. Please use the command
corresponding to your spooler type:

LPRng
        lpc reread
BSD-lpd
        lpc restart all
others
        /etc/rc.d/init.d/lpd restart
        (adjust this to your OS)

Also, any other clues in your /var/log/messages?

Good luck,

Ben
