[luau] RH8.0 laptop woes

I tried 7.3, didn't work either, so I think im just gonna donate the space
back to windowsXP.

Sorry if this message is a duplicate, booting into windows to send email is
getting a lil confusing.

The netmask on my internal lan is the correct one but it's a different ip
(my routers both use DHCP to assign numbers)

I did notice so that I can ping my isp's smtp server it just times out when
I try to do anything else.

Compare the IP address and netmask used in Windows and XP. Also ensure that
the IP you are using is from the domain you are in, because I think some web
sites do a reverse name lookup. Many routers now refuse to route packets
that do not originate in the corresponding domain.
