Additional:
You might want to consider firing up a windows machine and loading the
Intel Netport software on it.  It functions similar to HP's JetAdmin and it
may be able to contact the Print server for further configuration.  I have
read about issues with the netport and n-way negotiation not working
correctly.  Mine always initially negotiates 10Mbit until I reset it via
the web interface, then it cycles and negotiates to 100Mbit, flaky but
maybe part of your problem.   If you can find it with the Netport software,
upgrade to the newest firmware also.

Printing methods.  You can use SMB or LPD from either the local machines or
from a central server, both will work to the Netport.  I use it both ways
at home (via the Samba server and directly to the printer).  On my windows
machines it shows up in NN like any other computer.  I have a printcap
included in my above link.
