[luau] COMPUTERS FOR LEARNING (CFL)

The USAF and in particular Staff Sergeant Brent Rofoli have done more
for us than words can explain. These dedicated Dell's are PII 400
machines with varying amounts of RAM, the least being 64mb. They have a
future as servers in our implementation of the LTSP. They came with
mice, keyboards, speakers, 11 hard drives, and 6 17" monitors. It was
only a drop in their bucket. The amount of hardware the good people at
the USAF have is staggering.

We should all be grateful that Cody Taylor has put us in touch with his
co-workers at Hickam. Our needed resource is about to be you. With so
much hardware around and on the horizon, and several projects lining up,
we will need help doing this. The Midpac lab will be available for us to
work on the machines on certain days. If needed, and if it will
motivate you to help us on days that Midpac is not accessible, I will
work on securing some space with daily access. Warren will certainly
follow-up on this and let us know when we can access MidPac.

The critical factor for success will be the human resource. Let's try
to come up with a system that allows all of you to get your hands on
this while still taking of your jobs, etc. In the meantime, I offer
LUAU KUDOS and GRATITUDE to those responsible for this first big
contribution to the cause.
