For the most part, OpenOffice 1.0 is good enough that you don't need to buy
StarOffice, especially if you don't need the extra clipart and database
application.  The commercial StarOffice is so that Sun can recoup their
development costs.  Most traditional businesses also feel safer in buying a
product than trusting a free product.

 Sun Microsystems' StarOffice 6.0 will go on sale May 21 with a price of
$75.95, the company will announce Wednesday, in a more concerted effort by
the server specialist to take on Microsoft's overwhelmingly dominant Office.
