I'm trying to FIND the NICs for you guys (obviously I can't contribute 
much in the way of being physically present, as I mentioned it's a long 
drive :)

These guys usually go for 10% over wholesale I believe, and they might 
even go lower in volume.  Needless to say, they're dirt cheap.
