Hi Gurus,

Part of the issue is resolved. XFree86 4.* needs a special
installation. I was told of this by an Admin who had
run into it on Linux. I found the issue explained in the
FreeBSD handbook on the website (5.4 XFree86 Configuration)
.

This fix runs xfce (the window manager I use on all our
boxes)
fine as root.

But I can't get the ordinary users on the box to run it
after running setup_xfce for the users.

The only errors>

(WW) CheckDevMem: failed to open /dev/mem (permission
denied) linear frame buffer access unavailable.

xf860penConsole: Server must be SUID to root

I need some help in figuring out this message please.
