Doh!  I bought SMC cards today, and upon downloading NetStumbler I find out
that it only works on Hermes chipset cards.  Good thing I can return one of
them and get one Orinoco instead.

Stupid impatient me.  I bought that SMC2602W PCI card today after I found
more information saying that it *should* work in Linux.  Spent six hours
recompiling my kernel and fiddling with settings in vain trying to get it
working, only to find out that the PCI card refuses to work in bus mastering
mode no matter what PCI slot I put it in.  I'm trying it in another computer
tomorrow, but this sucks horribly...
