Good News: Microsoft Civl Suit Settlement Rejected in Court

The proposed settlement that would have "punished" Microsoft by donating
their own software along with a small amount of hardware to American schools
was rejected by the judge.  I'm glad.  The terms of their settlement were
rediculous... to name a few:

1. Small amount of actual cash, while most of it being Microsoft's software.
When you are a monopoly you can set any price...
2. They would have written off their punishment "donation" as tax
deductable, meaning they wouldn't have really lost much money.
3. Not to mention the potential damage to competition... namely Apple.
