k g[uys|als]........i need some info for a piece that i'm writing.
i know that some of you out there administer/maintain/curse at a whole slew
of windows burdened computers. what i'm wondering is, is for those of you still running
9*/NT4.0, what are you planning on doing when Bill Brother totally drops support for
those platforms?
according to an article on zdnet ( link is on another computer ) about 15% of
the companies/it managers were considering linux ( or some other open source
solution ) simply because of microsofts new licensing scheme. does this affect any of
your businesses that are moving to XP?
basically, what i'm looking for here, is any _constructive_ thoughts you might have as
administrators/it managers/solution providers that can be used as convincing arguments
for going the way of the Penguin. ( almost sounds like a bad kung-fu movie don't it? )
neway, thanks in advance.
b.
