No Sound

Rich,

I'm using "Yamaha"
Mdl:  YMF-724F  [DS-1 Audio Controller]
Kernel Module:  snd-card-ymfpci
Bus Type:  PCI

I'm still learning this  I have /dev under root  and there is a sound 
directory inside of that too...   Please bear with me.. I'm extremely new at 
this going thru the manual too.

I'm on Mandrake myself, What kind of sound card are you using? Do you
have an entry in /dev for audio?
