Community commentary: Encouraging open code in public procurement policies

Commentary on Newsforge taking the same basic stance that I agree with: It
is counter productive for us open source advocates to push for ONLY open &
free solutions, completely banning proprietary software.  I believe that a
healthy balance of competition between free software and proprietary
software is healthy for both the economy and innovation while being fair to
all parties.
