Apache 1.3.22 issue

Is anyone having problems with their Apache 1.3.22 servers not appending 
the contents of the "README" file to their autogenerated directory 
indexes? ReadmeName README is of course set in my httpd.conf, and the 
README file is hiddent per the IndexIgnore directive.

I've checked the changelogs and see no recent mentions of the ReadmeName 
directive (at least none since when it was working on some of my older 
servers).
