something like hyperteriminal?

I'm trying to talk to a device over the serial port ttyS0.  I can do this
using hyperterminal under windows, but I don't know how to do it under
linux (RH7.2).  I need to set up the connection to be at 9600baud, 8bit no
parity, and no flow control.  Most of the serial communications how-to/faq
stuff I've found hasn't been too helpful, was hoping somebody out there
can help me out.
