WinTV Bt8xx chipset capture in uncompressed(raw) avi format, if you are doing 640x480 @30fps, you need a big and fast harddrive, or you will have frame drop. The LML33 or DC10 use MJPEG hardware compression, very small bandwidth is needed when writing to the hard drive, I did 90 minutes of capture with out droping a single frame @640x480. Anyway, the wintv-go is $49 at compusa, give it a try before getting something that cost few times more.
