[luau] Mail config question....

Aloha all,

I have noticed a slight problem on my box lately. I'm running a RH 7.2
box thru MonMotha's firewall on a separate router. For some reason, when
my box boots, it ends up with a hostname like "hawaii.rr.com" even though
the eth0 is configured to use "VALinux" for the host name and the box is
assigned a static IP address on my home LAN. Everything seems to work
normally except for a few emails... If I send a mail to an address other
than @hawaii.rr.com, all is well. However, mail to @hawaii.rr.com
addresses fails with error from localhost "user unknown."

This leads me to believe that my sendmail partly believes that it is
hawaii.rr.com and thus it therefore checks for accounts on its' own box
before sending them. Since there are only 4 email addresses for
hawaii.rr.com accounts on my box, you can see where this can cause a few
troubles.

My question is this, how do I fix it??? I think that this may be a
networking issue, but it may also be a sendmail issue. I just know that
it worked fine until recently, and for the life of me, I can't think of
anything that I may have changed in my system configuration since
upgrading to RH 7.2 that may have started this.

Many thanks in advance,

Ben Beeson
