Hi Dusty,
Whenn I say Linux runs slow, I guess I mean too much CPU? here's what I get
from running top within KDE with Kmail running:
8:48am up 4 min, 2 users, load average: 0.11, 0.14, 0.06
49 processes: 47 sleeping, 2 running, 0 zombie, 0 stopped
CPU states: 0.9% user, 41.1% system, 0.0% nice, 57.8% idle
Mem: 255752K av, 107444K used, 148308K free, 0K shrd, 4696K buff
Swap: 248968K av, 0K used, 248968K free 61144K cached
When I try to ping here's what I get:
[happy at I8L1Y7:~ (.150 Mb)]$ ping www.yahoo.com
PING www.yahoo.akadns.net (64.58.76.229) from 24.161.133.184 : 56(84) bytes

17 packets transmitted, 4 packets received, 76% packet loss

I have tried 3 network cards so far, still no help. Funny thing is that when
I ping in Windows, I get no packet loss.
