help setting up home network using rr

hi, sorry if this question has been posted before (just point me to the
correct day and ill go look for it).  Anyway,  originally at home we had
my brothers windows machine as the gateway but now are using my computer
(which has linux and windows on it) as a gateway.  When it is in windows
the other computers linked to the gateway (via a hub) have no problem with
net access.  Now all i have to do is set up access for the other machines
when the gateway is in linux mode.  any help would be much appreciated
