copying to windows partition

Hi,

Everytime I copy a file from a Linux partition to a Windows partition, I get 
an error message saying "error trying chown/chgrp regular file: file name: 
operation not permitted". I get this message as a regular user and as root. 
Is there a way to get rid of this?
