MSN Forces Outlook POP

Qwest.net's DSL service on the mainland is now controlled by MSN. Existing
customers can continue to use POP3 for e-mail, but only if they use
Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express. Their Mac customers are currently
exempt from this restriction (because Microsoft doesn't have an easy answer
for them), but they don't tell Linux customers that they can use POP just
fine if they say they are Mac users and use the Mac POP server.

A non-story... but this reminds me that MSN is growing very large, with MSN
Messenger users outnumbering ICQ and perhaps soon AIM. You must worry about
this. Those will soon all soon be Passport accounts.
