router with roadrunner

Trying to help a buddy still on the island set his router up.  RR is set
up differently from @home which assigns computer names, and uses a loose
version of DHCP.  Apparently rr doesn't have a login app or anything,
friend says he plugged in modem and was on.Anyone configured a router
(in this case linksys) for use with roadrunner), I don't know what
values to fill in, if any.
