Yeah actually I did
You need avifile (src i think divx.euro.ru )
		 but they are terribly slow so try www.ftpfind.com
You need the codec package (called binaries- same src)
Install codecs in /usr/lib/win32
Install both you can see divx with aviplay 
But to have more comfort
use xine or my recommondation
avi-xmms ( a plugin from xmms >=1.2.4).
To use fullscreen SDL >1.1.8 must be installed.

Does not work with Mandrake 8.0 AFAIK
