Vulnerabilities in the NAT helper modules like IRC DCC and FTP have been
found allowing possible intrusion into protected networks. This effects
EVERYONE using any Linux firewall with the 2.2 or earlier kernels, including
Linux Router Project and FreeSCO floppy routers.
Now may be a good time for a kernel upgrade if you are using these kernels
for routing or firewalling. The URL above also gives some workarounds to
keep your network secure.
