Printer Setup

Hi,

I just did a total re-install of Linux Mandrake 8.0 and I realized that I
forgot to install a printer during the installation process. After
installation, I booted into Linux and tried to install a printer (HP
laserjet 4) but Linux does not detect the printer. What services need to be
installed and running to be able to setup, configure and print from Linux? I
noticed that my CUPS configuration is set to: Host: localhost and Port: 631.
Are these settings correct?
