I graduate in Jan from HPU after 3 years of classes, and I am full-time Unix
(Linux/Solaris/HP-UX/SGI) / LAN administrator. I took the Unix System
Administration class a few months back when HPU offered it at the Sub Base.
The textbook was the O'Reilly Essential System Administration book. Eddie Lo
was the instructor, and the class was very challenging but I managed to an A.
Many students received B's and C's that would normally receive As in other
courses. HPU now has Eddie focusing on Math courses, and that is too bad
since he is some type of an Unix Administrator.
Most of the HPU Satellite instructors are Windows focused. I would love to
see some folks from the Unix community take on teaching with HPU at the
Satellite campuses. Who knows maybe we could get HPU to offer a Perl course
to the students.
