Nations mandating use of Open Source Software

ZDNet article talking about many governments in the world drafting and
implementing laws mandating the use of "Software Libre", or software that is
free in the sense of freedom.  Several reasons behind this movement include
cost savings, and the current complete reliance on American business that
questionably could be spying on them (CIA involvement), and the constant
stream of money going toward the United States.

This is another excellent article to help in understanding the benefits of
Open Source Software, and how it compares to the cost and freedoms lost when
locked to traditional proprietary software.
