Parallel Port Scanner HOWTO

Hi,

Does anyone know if there is a Parrallel Port Scanner HOWTO out there 
somewhere? All the ones I find are geared towards scsi or usb scanners. I 
have a parallel port plustek optic pro 9630 scanner which I woul like to use. 
I found that this scanner is supported by sane and I have installed sane. 
However Linux Mandrake 8.0 does not see my scanner. Any ideas how to get 
Linux to see it?
