To my knowledge of VMware... it is impossible to do that because VMware only
uses a virtual disk on the Linux partition.

How do I get vmware to boot off my nt partition instead of using the
virtual disk? Making a virtual disk is easy, I haven't seen any
documentation or options on specifying a partition on my hard drive. I'm
assuming it's possible, maybe I'm wrong.
