Now, I don't recall using Debian to connect to the internet because I
think I got it after my cable modem...

However, there is a package called pppupd that you might want to look at.

If you need help, I'll help you figure it out.

Right about now, I couldn't tell the difference betwen PPP and IP. I need
to get to bed.
