Doug,
  I looked at the contents of the archive and saw the Makefile and the
readme, but I'm not sure how to get it installed.  What is the command I
need for install?  Also, do I need to remove the MD5-1.7 directory?  I'm
still very much a Linux newbie and appreciate all the help I can get.
