[LUAU] tcpdump -> ascii

During one of the LUAU meetings at LCC, someone
(sorry I don't remember who) was demonstrating
tcpdump (or similar) and it displayed every
piece of text transmitted on the LAN.  I've
been playing with tcpdump and various perl
scripts that convert the hex to ascii, but
the results are not very pretty.

1.  Am I confused?  Did I really see this?

2.  If so, could you tell me how you did it?  I
need to demonstrate the insecurity of using telnet
on a LAN for Saturday's class.
